Edgar Meyer’s Kennedy Center performance highlights musical range
Edgar Meyer’s recent solo recital at the Kennedy Center was met with acclaim from audiences and critics alike. The Washington Post describes Edgar as “never less than wholly compelling and wholly entertaining” and goes on to add, “Meyer is a pure musician, in the most literal sense.”
“Meyer is equally at home in classical music, bluegrass and jazz, and his compositions take in elements of all those fields in a kind of seamless, engaging outpouring,” added the Post of the evening’s performance, which combined music of Bach with original pieces.
