Edgar Meyer’s Australian debut performances conclude with Camerata of St. John’s
Following a world premiere with the Queensland Symphony, a solo recital, and a public masterclass at ABC Brisbane’s Studio 420, and a public masterclass at the Queensland Conservatorium, Edgar Meyer concludes his first Australian performances with a concert on July 21.
Joining the Camerata of St. John’s and conductor Andrew Mogrelia, the American bassist and composer performs his own concerto for the instrument in E, followed by Bottesini’s Bass Concerto No. 2. The performance is given at the Queensland Conservatorium and rounds out Edgar’s mini-residency with the 2015 Queensland Music Festival.
