Edgar Meyer in concert with the Ciompi Quartet
On April 16, Edgar Meyer joins the Ciompi Quartet at Duke University’s Baldwin Auditorium for an evening of chamber works for quartet plus double-bass.
The evening’s program begins with Bach’s third Brandenburg Concerto and closes with Dvorak’s String Quintet No. 2. In between is Meyer’s own String Quintet. Written in 1994, the work was recorded by Edgar alongside the Emerson String Quartet for Deutsche Grammophon in 1998. Click here to add the recording to your collection.
