Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile’s “Bass & Mandolin” earns three Grammy nominations
As announced earlier today, Bass & Mandolin, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile’s 2014 album for Nonesuch, has earned three Grammy nominations, two of which go to Edgar and Chris. The pair are nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and garnered a second nomination for Best Instrumental Composition for the song “Tarnation.”
Bass & Mandolin also received a nod for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, for the work of engineers Richard King and Dave Sinko as well as mastering engineer Robert C. Ludwig. Winners will be announced at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, which takes place on February 8, 2015.
