Fall Schedule: Recitals in Virginia, Tennessee & California; Orchestra Concerts in Michigan and Wisconsin; Quintet Tour with Dovers
Edgar Meyer looks forward to a fall season with a mix of solo performances, orchestral concerts, and chamber events around the United States.
On the recital stage, the American bassist and composer goes solo with programs at Virginia Tech’s Moss Arts Center (September 9) and Guerry Auditorium at the University of the South (October 8).
Edgar’s Concerto for Double Bass in D, paired with Bottesini’s Concerto No. 2, makes a return on orchestral programs in Michigan and Wisconsin in guest appearances with the Midland Symphony Orchestra (October 1) and Fox Valley Symphony (November 19).
A key component of Edgar’s fall is his national tour with the Dover String Quartet, performing his Quintet for Strings (originally recorded by the Emerson String Quartet). Tour stops with the Dovers include Philadelphia (October 21), Pittsburgh (October 23), Tucson (October 26), Portland (October 28), and San Francisco (October 30).
