Solo recital at The Kennedy Center
On April 8, Edgar Meyer gives a solo recital at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The American bassist and composer shows off his manifold musical talents by performing selections from his own “Work in Progress,” a piece for unaccompanied bass that explores a larger form and language compared to Edgar’s shorter pieces and improvisations. “Work in Progress” is preceded by Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1, adapted for bass.
