Concerts with Mike Marshall March 6, 7, 8
Following his performance with Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Edgar Meyer teams up with mandolinist Mike Marshall for three concerts in Wyoming and Colorado. The pair are first heard at the University of Wyoming’s Buchanan Hall in Laramie on March 6. The next day (March 7), they appear at Beaver Creek, CO’s Vilar Performing Arts Center, before heading to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, on March 8.
The concerts reunite the pair of frequent collaborators. Of a 2014 recital at Chamber Music Northwest, The Oregonian wrote of their collaboration, “They traded off melody lines and rhythms with keen responsiveness worthy of a top-notch chamber festival.… Unless he’s playing solo, no one gets singled out when Edgar Meyer is playing—he’s a true collaborator, and Marshall is also a star in his own right.”
